Summary

The LETS CROWD project aims to improve communication among security professionals, civil protection, emergency medical services, and citizens to optimize the management of interventions in large human gatherings.

It will lay the groundwork for the implementation of the European Security Model, which seeks to protect citizens within large human gatherings more effectively, drawing from past terrorist attacks experienced in several European countries.

It will help prevent existing threats in large human gatherings by effectively protecting, pursuing, and responding to events with a large number of people.

Led by the multinational ETRA, it features a strong consortium involving 4 other security forces and bodies.

It essentially has two main objectives; LETS CROWD aims to establish a European security model for protecting large crowds based on human factors. It will propose this model through best practices, standards, and research to enforce European policies for safeguarding people in human gatherings. Additionally, it will provide a set of tools for legislative authorities, serving as a guide for policymakers to improve current practices and assist in decision-making, optimizing communication and information flow among stakeholders in large gatherings to facilitate cooperation and the execution of appropriate action plans.
