    A novel, user-friendly platform will be developed, utilizing augmented reality and the use of robots to enhance the speed and effectiveness of first responders' intervention in complex or dangerous areas where a disaster has occurred. This will revolutionize emergency response teams' interventions in the early stages of a disaster when the chances of saving lives are highest.

    For this purpose, INTREPID is composed of a coordinated team of 4 world-class research organizations, 5 leading SMEs in Europe, and a set of 7 first responder organizations from different fields.

  • Aladdín

    The objective of this project is to develop an advanced platform to detect, locate, classify, and neutralize light and suspicious drones over restricted areas. It aims to provide tools for operational support, including investigations and training. ALADDIN will also assess relevant technologies, threat trends, regulations, and other issues related to the social, ethical, and legal environment in order to provide new insights to Security Forces as well as infrastructure designers and builders.

  • Mindb4act

    The project focuses on formulating policy recommendations and practical, innovative, ethical, and effective solutions for the participating police forces to identify, map, and develop skills against terrorist radicalization. Seven law enforcement agencies from various European countries collaborate on this project, along with think tanks, research centres, universities, industrial associations, and NGOs from 10 EU member states.

  • Trivalent

    Project led by the University of Rome "Uniroma 3," involving several Police Forces from across Europe. Its objective is to understand the root causes and specific characteristics of violent radicalization, aiming to study and contribute to improving the exchange of information and more effective means of cooperation, coordination, and communication among Police Forces, Authorities, and citizens, placing special importance on the role played by Local Police due to their proximity and closeness to the community.

  • Pericles

    Project framed within the European call for the development of a comprehensive approach to violent radicalization, from early detection to enhanced protection. The Consortium, composed of entities from 8 countries, will develop communication tools and policy recommendations for security institutions. The Municipal Police participates in the evaluation and validation of case studies and the dissemination of results.

  • Lets Crowd

    The LETS CROWD project aims to enhance communication among professionals in security, civil protection, emergency medical services, as well as with citizens, to optimize the management of interventions in large human gatherings.

    A platform will be developed to facilitate forensic investigation aimed at analysing malware in the financial sector. This platform will create a software program designed to prevent cybercrime by extracting and analysing information available on the internet related to banking malware. This will enable the identification of fraud networks and their main perpetrators.

    The project, led by the Immigration and Emigration Secretariat of the Ministry of Employment and Social Security, aims to raise awareness and prevent racism, xenophobia, and other forms of intolerance. It promotes non-discrimination and coexistence at the local level through collaboration with Local Community Policing.

    SURVANT will provide an innovative system that collects recorded files from surveillance cameras. With an intuitive user interface, it assists investigators in creating precise search queries using advanced visualization tools.

  • Lasie

    A tool to expedite police investigations by analysing large amounts of forensic data. It aims to significantly enhance the effectiveness of current investigative practices. It manages forensic data from various heterogeneous sources such as surveillance cameras, computers, hard drives, mobile devices, the internet, and handwritten or hand-printed documents. The Municipal Police of Madrid has collaborated in designing this tool, which will facilitate, among other things, police investigations into workplace accidents.

    “Local Learning Communities against Racism, Xenophobia and hate speech”.

    The coordinated project led by the Municipal Police of Madrid involves Local Police forces from Leganés, Getafe, Fuenlabrada, Pamplona, Elche, and Málaga, along with the University of Salamanca, the Spanish Observatory against Racism and Xenophobia, Dinamia, and the Bradford Hate Crime Alliance. It aims to combat hate crimes in cities.

    First responder Advanced technologies for Safe and efficienT Emergency Response

    The Faster Project investigates and develops a set of solutions for first responders in emergency situations, tailored to their needs and requirements. It adopts a new approach to validating tools under conditions simulating real-world work environments, while respecting the EU's social values, fundamental rights, and current legislation to ensure results accepted by society.

    URBACT's mission is to enable cities to work together and develop integrated solutions to common urban challenges by creating networks, learning from each other's experiences, drawing lessons, and identifying best practices to improve urban policies. The Madrid City Council has the Municipal Police as a key collaborator in the development of urban design actions based on the security perspective (Security by Design).

  • Urban Agenda

    The EU Urban Agenda was initiated in May 2016 with the signing of the Amsterdam Pact. It is a multi-level working method that promotes collaboration among member states, cities, and the European Commission to make cities more sustainable and innovative. It aims to identify common needs and challenges and propose solutions. Participants in this project address challenges related to mitigating terrorist attacks, creating spaces that facilitate the work of security forces, and ensuring citizens' perception of safety in public spaces to maintain their freedom of use and the possibility of holding events on the streets. In January 2019, in Paris, along with the Madrid City Council, they assumed the coordination of this consortium, which brings together 8 cities, 2 regions, and 2 EU member states, as well as various expert organizations.

    Protect Allied Ciities against Terrorism in Securing Urban Areas 

    The main purpose of this project is to create a framework that serves cities and local security forces to enhance the capacity of urban areas to protect against terrorism.

    PACTESUR aims to empower cities and local actors in the field of security of urban public spaces against terrorist threats. Through a grassroots approach, PACTESUR brings together Local Authorities, security forces, urban security experts, urban planners, Information Technology developers, First Responders, and designers, among others.
